Essentials include: lightweight neutral-colored clothing (khaki, olive, beige), a wide-brim hat, sunglasses, sunscreen (SPF 50+), insect repellent, sturdy walking shoes, a light fleece for early morning drives, binoculars, camera with telephoto lens (300mm+), and any personal medications.
